LAB 主要经磺化生成直链烷基苯磺酸，再中和成磺酸盐，作为合成洗衣粉和液体洗涤剂的核心活性物；可磺化物不低于 98.6% 表明其转化的完全程度。较小的用途包括电缆油、变压器油和电容器油的添加剂、改性乳化剂和润滑剂，以及部分溶剂用途。
