    About This Product

PVC paste resin is polyvinyl chloride produced by emulsion or microsuspension polymerisation, which gives particles much finer than those of suspension resin. Mixed into a liquid plasticiser, these particles disperse instead of dissolving, forming a stable fluid known as a plastisol. The plastisol can be spread, sprayed, dipped or poured, and it becomes solid PVC only when heated to fuse.

This route is quite different from extrusion, and it is the basis of products such as artificial leather, flooring, dipped gloves, conveyor belting, wallpaper, toys and automotive underbody coatings. Two properties drive grade choice. The degree of polymerisation determines the strength of the fused film, and the paste viscosity governs how the plastisol behaves on the coating line.

The grades on offer cover the working range of both. PB1704 is a high-polymerisation grade aimed at elastic flooring, where strength is critical. PB1156 is a medium-viscosity foaming grade for synthetic leather, yoga mats and the foam layers of wallpaper. PB128 has a low viscosity and suits light conveyor belts and automotive adhesives. Copolymers extend the options further. PA70, a binary vinyl acetate-vinyl chloride copolymer, can take the place of glue in bonding layers. PCMA-12 lowers the processing temperature in automotive plastisols, carpet backing, printing inks and moulded heels.

Supply comes from Anhui Tianchen, Jiyuan Jinxiang, Jiangsu Kangning Chemical, Inner Mongolia Junzheng, Inner Mongolia Yidong, Shandong Langhui, Shenyang Chemical and Tangshan Sanyou. The resin is a fine white powder packed in 20 kg bags. A 20GP container holds 12.5 tonnes with pallets or 13.5 tonnes without, and a 40HQ holds 24 tonnes with pallets or 27–28.5 tonnes without. Confirm producer, grade, degree of polymerisation and paste viscosity against your purchasing specification.
